85 200x idle starter gear, trans parts?

I bought 3 200x's 2 of them have kick start issues I got the good gears for the kick start and took engine apart the gears on the kick start look fine but the main starter gear on the main shaft of trans is shot missing half of its teeth wich is ok cause I can get that part but the idle starter gear 19t is unavailable and it is worn out. any suggestions on where to get it other than buying the whole trans on ebay thanks

any ideas as to why these would go I thought it was the stuff on the kick starter shaft. and how do I know if I have transmission a or b

Kick back when kick starting is most likely the cause of the gear failing , the cause of the kick back is usually caused from a poorly tuned motor .
