I have tried to be self sufficient however I cannot find the serial number on a 200x motor. Any help?

Ok in the stamped box between the shifter shaft and the oil drain plug?

Well it is that easy but in my case not. I saw the box and cleaned it well and looked with a flashlight, nothing. Took a piece of sand paper and cleaned off the paint, nothing. So I am assuming the numbers have been rubbed off for some reason. Got this motor in a trade a few years back, don't know the history. Guess I'll do the best with what I know on seeing it is the same as my 84 and using the jug off it in my rebuild.

Take a pic of it and post it up.
Only reason I can think of for there to be no numbers is that perhaps it's an OEM replacement case half. I know some MC and small engine manufacturers sometimes left the serial pad blank on replacement case halves.

Well it ment something to someone at one time. Not a stock piston and a copper head gausket. I wonder it's true story......

It also looks like it dropped the exhaust valve.

A new replacement case from Honda wouldn't come with any numbers . Not that uncommon.
I went threw a half dozen left side cases while racing back in the day .
