Hello all.

I'm new to the forum, but have had a love of trikes for quite a few years.

I was lucky to pick up a nice Atc 70 last week that I'm intending to restore

I'm currently stripping it down and trying to source replacement parts.

There's a few bits I've identified that need replacing and have got the parts for, but a few I'm having problems with.

The first is the wire that runs from the kill switch into the engine - the original has been cut and a different kill switch bodge fitted. Can you name this part please?

It requires a replacement plastic Honda sign that fits on the front forks - the black square one - I've spent ages searching for one, but without an actual name in having no luck

Also the rear sprocket is wonky ... I presume this will need replacing

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Brilliant :)

Any ideas on the wire? I'm a tad stuck until I can get a new one

The wire is just that: wires. If you are looking to buy a new wiring harness, search e-bay for stator wiring, or wiring harness. Here is the Honda parts diagram:

Note that to get this to run, you just need to splice onto the all black wire in that bundle. The black wire connects to two spots:
1. The ignition coil
2. The kill switch

The kill switch connection doesn't even need to be there in order to start the machine, in fact, it just needs to be there to shut off the engine. You stop the engine by grounding out the black wire (that's what the kill switch does, it connects the black wire to a frame ground).

The rubber dampers are probably worn out and causing the sprocket to fit loose and move around alot. Once you get the axle you you'll see how it fits together, and they are still available new from honda. There was a guy reproducing the front number plates, cant remember who though. The aftermarket parts for these is really good and can find almost anything new from honda or from a company. I have had really good luck with gordon spangler at Hondaatc70.com.
