Hi Everyone,

Quick question--I'm in the midst of restoring my 1985 YTM225 and I opened up the differential to replace the leaking o-rings and loud bearing on the pinion shaft. Now that I'm ready to put the diff back together again, I can't find any torque specs for the bolts that hold both sides of the differential together. I checked the Chilton manual, and it only says to have it serviced by a Yamaha dealer. I didn't see a reference to the specs on this site either (please point me to where it is on the site if you know).

Anyone out there know what the bolt torque specs are? I was guessing it was around 30 ft-lbs since it's an all-aluminum housing, but I'd really like to know for sure.

Thank you in advance for anyone who knows!

Maybe you could ask at a Yamaha dealership.
