Hi guys, I'm new to the forum. I came here searching for some info. I recently acquired this gem and have it running but want to know what it is exactly. I believe it's a Yamaha YTM200, can anyone confirm?
It is chain drive and believe the decal says it's a 200.

I need an air filter and a carb boot for this beast. If anyone has a source for new or used it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes it is a YTM200. Looks to be quite complete and in good condition. I like the brace from the hitch to the grab bar. Good score.

The trike is complete, just needed the fuel system cleaned (done) to run. All lights work including the tail brake light. It needs tires (on the way), and an air filter. The carb boot was cracked but I sealed it up with Permatex Ultra Grey. I would like to find a new carb boot for it.

I paid $75 for this gem! It's obvious to me it had an easy life. The rear bar is neat in concept until you ram that toung into your shin. I think it will be removed the next time I hit it. Maybe a hinged toung would solve the issue.

Any way to tell what year it is?

If anyone can point me in the direction to get an air filter and or a carb boot I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Is there a sticker on the steering neck/ behind the headlight? Sometimes there's a sticker with the vin number and year/model number there.

Take a look on partzilla thru the different years to see which year matches your trike. I'm guessing it's a 1984 or older just because of the drum brake.... but it may be newer.

You can download the service manual for your trike here: http://www.oscarmayer.net/atc/manuals/

There are other places to buy parts like ebay or http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/#&panel1-3

I like to buy parts from ebay because shipping is usually faster. I use partzilla mostly for looking up parts on diagrams or for part numbers.

Nice looking trike!

good luck on the carb boot, you are better off changing to the later model carb and intake boot which is a 24w, instead of a 21v.

Thanks for the help guys. I got the carb boot all sealed up with Permatex Untra Grey for now. I just need to get an air filter foam for the cage element and do an oil/filter change. I put new rear tires on it and have the front to change. With the carb boot sealed it idles nicely and has good response.

Does anyone know an easy way to restore the plastics? Is there a product or do I have to sand and buff them?

I have welded a solid flange out of a short piece of pipe and 3/16 flat steel plate and you can use radiator or heater hose to make a carb boot. I used cork gasket material from tractor supply to cut a gasket for my flange.
