I bought a 83' 200e big red for $150, in a box, was just parts, but all there ... engine was intact and looked ok. Did a nice restoration, was beautiful and perfect and then once I was finished I realised the engine was blown. I was really pissed because I put alot of work into it and never actually checked the engine first. Sold the bike as is to a motorbike shop for $750, they put it on display as a show piece where it's still standing .... that made me feel better because I can still see my show piece and I got my money and some back ... the next day I bought a 250ES big red and checked the compression before anything else (",)

I would say *deal*
I saw a 1983 200X local which is rare in my area for $800.00 obo (That's Canadian funds). said it needed carrier bearings. It had brand new tires.

Jumped on it as I knew it would go FAST. Loaded my trailer up and went to look. Fired right up. Chain and sprockets were toast. Rear brake did not work...

Whatever. Asked him his bottom line price. Picked it up for $700.00. But some things into it. Had a couple issues but I love it. It is not mint but a rider. I get lots of looks and people asking if I am selling it.
