Hey guys I have brought this type of chain slider below for my 84 250r
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170627/17f06a28f309cca5e27afb5334a7435c.png
Then on eBay there are the chain sliders in the picture below?
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170627/4891e2e8c5a1e7cc4a4e4bc2b4f423d3.png
What is the difference or do they both fit on the 250r or do they go in different places?
Thanks Ivan!

Or does chain slider above go near the back chain near rear sprocket? Anyone got photo of the above slider they can put up on here? Thanks

That particular chain guide is located on the "Rear Wheel Axle/Rear Brake Disk" parts fiche for the '84 250R. I'm guessing it wraps around the frame tube below and behind the counter-shaft sprocket.

Thanks redrider! Trying to find a picture of it on a 250r, my 250r is about 2 hours drive. I'll have too look on the weekend and see where it might go.

Is the top/red one an 85/86 part?
Do 83/84 use the same thing?
I have no air-cooled R experience, but I replaced the slider on my 85 and it looked like that red one but in a boring color.

The red one is for the 84! I brought it off eBay and wanted a black one but the guy sent a red one!
Just not sure where the rear one goes and been looking for pics but can't any. So wanted someone to send a picture of one on their bike.

Yaegreb,
I looked at partzilla, but where does it go on the trike? Want a picture so I can reference onto my bike as I don't have one.
Iam not going to post, Iam just going to inbox you all my questions ha ha

The white one goes on top of the frame tube right under the pivot. There's a little tiny screw that holds it in place. You should see a hole in the frame for the screw.

Thanks, I think I now know where it goes, my trike has glued runner on the frame tube. Thanks again

Can anyone post a picture of how these fit all mounted up? Right now these are the only options for replacements and I'm in need of one also but have yet to click buy-it-now. Curious to see how these fit because they are not cheap and I don't wanna waste my money.
Those little OEM sliders would be a perfect candidate for John's reproduction shop. Hint hint. Or maybe someone could turn one out of Delrin, I'm not sure if that would be the proper material for the job though. That's not my fortè.

The Mrs. Has some of the front sliders made up :)
Can't keep up with what we already produce so not likely to make mold for the rear,,,, especially if currently available.

Have any of the front sliders for sale? I don't have any sliders on mine right now. I didn't wanna buy the swingarm one until I knew how they fit. I was assuming they were somewhat universal between another model and probably wouldn't fit like they should so I was Leary to just spend $40 and it fit like poo. That's why I asked if anyone had one mounted that they had a picture of. It's the only one listed that MIGHT fit for the 2nd gen.

The front slider the red one I have on my trike and it fits pretty good! Previous owner had rubber and glued it on, so the slider is good and easy to put on as it splits!

I was referring to the red one from eBay the OP posted. But thank you, that should help some people.
