Hello everyone, picked up a beat down 1983 atc70 the other day for my unborn son (10 days and counting) and started sorting out the issues. I am hoping someone can help with a few questions I have.

I am going to install the 108 kit but was wondering what you all are doing about the petcock with the new carb.

For God's sake, does anyone have a stock baffle laying around? The exhaust is awful without it, and eBay joker's want stupid money for rusted out stock exhaust.

Thanks for any and all Advice! Looking forward to contributing to this site once I get this atc figured out.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170707/5a144c85223038547e653cca2e924318.jpg

Look around dratv. com they have almost anything you need. I like your big wheel!

A Lifan 125 engine is probably cheaper than a 108 kit. You will need to split your cases open to install the crank and install a high volume oil pump.

Some other ppl also use an oil cooler with the 108 kits, all the parts add up. Does your 108 kit come with the bigger race head and intake?

I'm glad to see that you will be starting him off right. The best news is that you have a few years to get it all together. My big question is do you really want to have a fire breather to teach your kid to ride on? I'd want it stock for that.

As you pointed out, he won't be the one riding it for awhile 😀

I put a DRATV 88 piston and cylinder kit on a TRX70. Everything else was stock. It was great.

For a petcock, you can probably just plug one of the two outlets and use the reserve outlet with a remote petcock like a Pingel or cheap copy. You lose reserve.

One of the TRX70s I built got a 125cc, e-start, semi-auto, 3spd+reverse engine. It was a fantastic potty quad. I could hold my adult beverages in one hand and ride around backwards with the other. I should have kept it.
