250r seat

Hey guys
I have an 84 250r and the seat is about 2 inches from the gas tank when it's hooked in. I know it's old but is there anything I can do it make it flush? Maybe heat and bend it? Anyone got any ideas?

yes - heat and bend
I did same on a couple of 200X seats.
Used my Harbor Freight heat gun.
