Just in time for fall weather and cold water, my ski is close to completion.

Long story short, I had numerous 440/550's around 1999-2003. I sold my junk and vowed never to return to watercraft again. Fast forward 14 years. My friends kept theirs and began riding again, so naturally like the Mob, I got pulled back in. I bought a bare 550sx hull, 93 dual carb 750 engine and pump, mounted up the ebox, installed the pump, and now I'm down to a little wiring and fuel lines.

You'll look great ripping around on the lake in your winter Blues jersey on that thing.

That is one toy that I have had a def love hate relationship with. Js 650 late 80's model. It was so fun! When it ran. Thing would run on the hose for days, plop her in the lake and nothing. Think it was scared of water! Still miss them. Yet glad I don't have it or the others taking up space anymore! Hope yours is a real riot!

I had a 91 650sx with a bored and heavily ported 750 motor. I even hooked up the factory oil injection (biggest benefit of the 650 hull ) that was a great ski. Had a lot of fun riding that thing in havasu when I was a kid / teenager. Was super fast.

Very cool. It should haul butt.

Here's some Kawasaki R and D trivia you might find fun. Around 1985 they closed the Nebraska plant and we ended up with a shiny new left over 750 3 cylinder ski mobile engine from there which they soon put in front of my desk and said, "Hey, see if you can put that in this jet ski.", which I did which was fairly easy, however, I then also had to make 3 expansion chambers and I was NOT a pipe maker, so I told them that we should have Harry Klemm or Dave Miller make them but they said that there was no money in the budget to do that cuz there basically was no budget cuz the project was not officially approved by Japan.

We took it to Lake Elsinore to test it but unfortunately it didn't rev over around 3000 rpm and we ran out of time to mess with it so it went into our storage along with some of the other oddities and languished there for years. It was definitely an odd looking beast with expansion chambers sticking out of the top. Sure wish now that I had taken some photos.

The two happiest days of my life were the day I bought them, and the day I sold them.

Barn, there is a guy on the 550 Facebook page that has pictures of around 1971 or 72 of the Kawasaki prototype ski that had a snowmobile twin cylinder in it. They ran the pull start through the front of the foot tray. Lol

I'm guessing that 6896 HP decal is going to intimidate a lot of would be challengers. :beer

Very cool sleeper. I had a chance years ago to try one out. (550) It was a blast.
I had a Seadoo SPI at the time and traded a guy for a while out on Lake Ontario.

There were a bunch of local racers that built a course nearby. Most if not all the local racers were running Yamaha Superjets. (?)

I missed a deal years ago on a Wetbike!!! Garage sale. $400.00. I was late by 3 minuites.
