hey all,
in the last year i have picked up first a 1984 honda atc 200s we now call old smokey ..lol....its due for a ring...well way over due.
also i picked up a 1981 honda atc 185s wich i would consider to be in 90% condition. i just took it out on a 25 mile trail ride in michigan during our 90+ degree weather. it ran flawless.

anyway on my 200 im looking to do a top end on it since it burns about as much oil as it does gas....any suggestions as to where to get parts?

ebay or honda sometimes has parts.

you need your cylinder and piston measured by someone competent to determine if they are worn beyond use.

Before you redo the top end, have you checked the compression to see if your rings are actually worn? It could just need valve seals.

I have not torn it down yet. Kinda planning on a winter project
