Will a 200 big red axle fit 200m?

I have a 1984 200m with a welded axle(annoying). I can pickup used hubs and an axle from an 82/83 big red 200. I'm fairly certain the hubs are compatible but I'm not sure about the axle.
As well, are many other parts compatible?

I think you're in luck. I searched the Honda parts for the 200M and then checked where this part is used:
