I know I'm missing something that the air filter connects to but I'm not entirely sure. The bike is an 84 200m. I'm assuming no filter will make it run more lean?
Is there anything I can do until I can get a new filter+missing part?

Sent from my Moto X Play using TapatalkYou are missing the metal tube, air filter, and a metal bracket that holds that assembly altogether inside the box.
No filter is just a bad idea. Fuel/air ratio would be the least of your worries....debris getting into the carb and motor will cause more problems than anything else.
Assembly #11 in that screenshot is what you're missing in your pic

Sent from my Z958 using TapatalkHmm I may have to try to rig something up with a Kodiak air filter until I can track down those pieces.

Sent from my Moto X Play using Tapatalkprivate message CaptainWeezy on here, he probably has those pieces for sale for a reasonable price or you can post a want to buy thread in new members section for now and someone here probably has that hardware.

Of course, you don't need the airbox though so maybe not the best route.
Also sometimes aftermarket suppliers of filters design theirs to eliminate some stock hardware but you would need a better experienced opinion than mine on this model. Other members here would know better.

Sent from my Z958 using TapatalkThanks for the advice, I will send some messages and worst case I'm sure I can figure out something that will let me mount an air filter of some kind.

I just looked at mine and it just has like a short rubber connector to the air filter. I don’t know if this is stock or aftermarket. My air box is stock though.
