I think it is dead wrong to call him a idiot. Why?? I see things differently here: The guy knows what he wants and is not afraid to spend the money to get it. And mega spend he does!!

Looking at it from a sellers point of view Here: Go guy go!! Bid, Bid, & Bid some more!!! To pay the bills we sellers need Buyers like this.
And yes, I hope he needs some of the items I will be listing soon. ;)

Looking at it as a Buyer: If I need or want it then I put my max bid in on it. If I do not get it then so be it. Sooner or later I will find what I want for a price I can afford or am willing to give.

I once bid $78 on a single issue of a old ATC magazine, and I was out bid. About 2 weeks later I bought one ( same issue ) in better condition for $16.73. I no longer have the money for bidding / buying like that.

I say let the guy bid and buy. Sooner or later he will get all that he needs or run out of money. ;)

i agree. if he is happy spending that kind of money than good for him. i wish i could have some of those parts he buys, but i am not willing to spend that kind of cash.

when i saw that auctions price. i know triztunes was on it. i had no doubt about it.

thanks,
mark

You never who the guy might be. When I see somebody tossing that kind of money around, the first thing I wonder is that if behind his ebay name there might be some household name we've all heard of. Ill bet Jay Leno doenst mind dropping a few hundred bucks on a part for a car in his collection as opposed to shopping for the $15 baragin.

i would still call him an idiot if it was my auction, just not to his face.

He is obviously not the only one who has bid on the item, I see 19 bids. Yes, sellers need people like this. The guy knows what he wants, and is probably trying to restore a trike all OEM original. I too have been there before spending a lot of money on something.

Cmon fellas - if we had the spare cash we would all be bidding crazy for nice parts.

How many times have you bid your meager peanuts like crazy and won only to get crap when it gets to your door??

Most of America is 2 paychecks from going bankrupt but it seems this guy has a few bucks to spare.

If I was making good cash (and I were single) I'd buy up whatever the heck I needed to restore a nice ATC. And if you watch long enough you will find almost every single ATC part in new or like new condition almost 20 years later - believe it.

Howdy and others ... I want to agree with your sentiments really bad ... but for Petes sakes .... $305 for a plastic headlight shroud!!!!!. Cripes. Then again, I just dropped $450 for Black sparkle Polaris fenders and stickers.

Hi,
Obviously from seeing my post count you can tell I'm a newbie. I'm from the 3wheeler.org message boards.

I bet if we all had the the extra money to throw around, we would be making those types of bids also. Those people that bid high amounts don't care what you think because they got the money to do it. The more faster and good looking you want to be, obviously the more money you will have to spend. But thats my two cents.

Oh yeah, I hope he doesn't join the board and see what all you have said about him.

I have no doubts that triztunes is a member of one or both of these boards, and uses a different handle for ebay purchases.

In fact I bet their laughing their asses off reading this post.

TriZtunes is a famous musician. He lives in Michigan and is really into 80's stuff. If you saw him on a VH1 special, he mentions how he likes to ride 3 wheelers. He has been in a couple movies, too. I know this because my buddy is related to him. Any guesses?? I cannot say who he really is though, I promised. He has been to my house and saw my collection, I think thats when he decided to drop some major bucks on some trike restorations. :D

I watched larry king last night, and sharon said that they sold the banshee and blasters. Good, maybe Ozzy will buy a few trikes... :D 8) And if it is Kid Rock, he wouldn't care what you have said, he has been with Pam Anderson.

Ted wouldnt buy old atari and nintendo games... lol Now if there were hunting gear in his auctions I might agree....

This guy likes games, and toys... check out the Tri Z toy. It was 41 bucks before ole tunz got involved...

I bet he's like my brother who HATES to wait for the bargain. If he wants it he wants it and will go pay retail for it if it available rather than wait and wait and wait and get it for chump change on ebay (or lose by a stinkin penny at the last minute ) . So, he(tri-z) spends lotsa bucks on a little plastic thing that can probably be hand made for a fraction of the price out of fiberglass but has to wait a few weeks.

you know i was thinking. if you ever watch MTV cribs look at how much money they spend on one vehicle $80,000-150,000 dollars. think of how far that could go in the atc world. you could spend tons of money have the best of the best and still have thousand left in your pocket. who wants rims that cost 10 grand!!!! not me. this guy may have money and enjoys this hobby. or he is gonna stock pile these parts and sell them down the road either way he is buying them and it kind of pissses me off because i get out bid a lot. but that is ebays way and i have learned to live with it. i emailed him to see if i had any parts he might need and he never emailed me back. that wasnt very nice :( i dont want top dollar but wanted to talk to him. well thats my 2 cents
