How to clean out the cloud?

I have a iPhone and I haven't backed up my phone in a while and I've been to Verizon and I can't figure out how to clean out my cloud so the phone could be backed up.

log into verizon wireless site. You may have to create an account. You can then access all of your cloud storage, and delete from there. The user interface is not very intuitive, but once you get onto it, you'll be fine.
