I picked myself up a 82 YT175 for a winter project, after doing some internet research I thought joining this site would be a smart choice. It does run, not that well but I like to think running is better than not. I plan on going through the carb and cleaning it, new air filter (the one that was on it pretty much disintegrated when I pulled it out), changing the transmission oil, new fuel filter and lines. I also plan on borrowing my dads compression tester tomorrow and checking that. What is the compression supposed to be at? Also is there a length that the recoil starter rope is supposed to be? I feel like the one on it is rather long. If anyone has an tips/tricks/info for me it would be greatly appreciated. Also if I missed anything or there's anything else to change/check let me know! Thanks
