I could have sworn a couple other guys here were making trees or had figured out a way to use some metric street bike trees to clamp modern USDs in.

Have you tried a search on the topic?

Maybe my weak attempt to help will bump this up where people who know for sure can answer.

I think there are a couple of guys on Facebook making them. That's your best bet. Don't know names but I know a guy in Quebec is doing them. Jason made mine but last I knew he was very behind, I doubt you'd get them in under a year. There are guys still waiting for them. He's a good guy but you will wait for them. If you want them sooner look elsewhere.

Here's an old thread about using a Honda vtx1800 triple tree-

I know it can be done that way but from what I understand it's difficult because the triples are very narrow. No personal experience with it though

The custom triples are about $700.
Using the VTX triples you will loose the rake that's built into the 250r triples. So your trike will handle a little different, but the guys I know that run them say it just takes a bit of getting used to. The leading axle set up on the inverts will help offset this a bit.
You may not be able to use the stock 250r wheel because of the rolled lip on them. Not enough clearance between the lip and the caliper. Most people are already using aftermarket wheels anyway.

Keep posting as you go !. I have a set of cr80 forks that I was going to use on one of my 350x's so I will be watching with a vested interest !.

Do those CR85 forks fit the VXT triples or did you have to adapt?

No the CR 85 did not work they are too small for the triples but the CR125 I believe will work I'm working on trying to get some measurements before I purchase a set of those

Don't know how much smaller the cr 85 forks are from your triples but can't you get a sleave made to make up the difference?

You probably could get sleeves made and that is an option but I was hoping that I could find some Forks that would work better.
