Newebie here. My first bike is an 84 atc 200s. Looking to replace tires. What kind of tread should I go with for normal trail riding. FYI I am not a go fast type. Just like to enjoy the ride.

No recommendation here, still thinking about tires for my 200S when I get it done. I will ride it just like you so I'll be watching the input that you receive. Welcome to the site!

Cheng Shin knobbies are a fantastic all around tire for these.

Itp Mud lite tires give you a lot more grip for trail riding, I put them on a 1985 200x.

Your best bet is to stick with a 2 ply tire as well.

In my opinion you want a lighter tire with a stock diameter. On a hardtail machine like your 200s, remember the tire is the only suspension you get. The Cheng Shins fit that bill.

Cheng Shin knobbies for the win with your riding style and application. You'll want them at about 2.2 PSI!
