Just bought this all original Honda ATC 70, starts and runs fine, I can shift thru the there gears but when I try to shift down to go back to neutral it gets stuck and will not advance back to neutral, I can move the gear indicator slightly and make it advance. I would appreciate all you more advanced and knowlegable guys to tell me what I need to do to fix this or what the main issue is. I'm a shade tree mechanic so not unfamiliar with fixing things.

Shift drum stopper is either broken or come loose .
Remove the clutch cover and inspect .
Very common issue

Yea it's a arm with a roller on it that is spring loaded. It's a easy fix and like shortline said a common issue.

I appreciate it shortline10, I have already removed the case cover and ran out of time, tomorrow I will have to get the clutch off and then the gear to get to these pieces. I guess you can buy a clutch wrench at a local hardware store?

So I got the Clutch Pack off and then the main gear and sure enough the Shift Drum Stopper Arm was cracked and riding on the outside of the Shift Drum Stopper Plate. If your Honda starts to not shift correctly or hard to shift this is likely the issue. Again thanks to Shortline10 & big speech for the advice and help. This was very easy to fix and anyone can make this fix. Video attached of the Stopper Arm Crack.
