New(ish) to the site... registered back a few years ago but never really posted.. Had a 200M back in the day .... (well it was my dad's for pulling firewood, but I rode it like I was Marty Hart...)

Anyways, was looking at maybe an 85/86 big red just for moving stuff around my 1.5 acres and a bit of nostalgia...

How do these thing hold up? Shafts problematic or anything like that? Did those have a differential in the rear or were they fixed axle just like 200s/m/es, etc?

Also might keep an eye out for an 84 Big Red or 250 sx ... pretty sure that's all the ATC's with reverse.

My cousin has a 250Sx. It sat for about 5 years (the last time), but fired right up after a fresh battery and gas. It's been in the family for decades. I imagine the Big Red is a similar scion of reliability...

The old Big Red 250ES model is about as good as it gets in the ATC world. Nothing really goes bad on them with proper maintenance. Reliability in unsurpassed by any other ATV in the world I would dare say. Also - the 2nd generation of ATC125M (1986 and 1987) had reverse also.

Oh yeah.. the 125M with the upright engine.. that's a rare beast I'd imagine..
