Swapped the carb out on the tri-z for a 38mm, I believe it's off a 85ish yz250 but I'm not sure,it was on another z. Question what cable can I use to get it back to thumb throttle? The twist throttle I feel might get me in a bind lol

Boil water and carefully melt the air boot slowly to fit. Take your time it's not a 1 drop slip it right on. You can run an open pod filter from UNI to avoid destroying your Wife's favorite soup pot. A YZ 250 cable might be short check length but you might be able to order from MotionPro(lead time/turnaround for them is suspect a lot of their stuff comes from India) a custom cable or various others do it as well. Check with TerryCable as well I'm sure they have stuff to go with it.

On this subject, would a 38mm Keihin PWK be the best choice for a carb after a ported cylinder?
