Howdy all,
The other day I got curious to see what kind of state the transmission is in. I put the rear end up on blocks so the tires were off the ground (tires are dry rotted and don’t hold air). After I got the engine started, I clicked the shifter into first and then gave it some gas. All the rear tires did was turn about an inch, then stop, despite higher revs. That’s all they’d turn. I’m starting to wonder that the transmission is locked up. Any ideas what would cause this? How hard is it to access the transmission? And yes, there was 10w-30 in the case.
