OK, so the book says lapping valve is a no-no because of the coating applied to the valve itself.
I'm curious if it would be acceptable (right) to use old valves I have no intention of using to lap the seat before installing new ones? I'm in the process of tracking down an XR top end to use and I really want to do this one as perfect as I am capable of.
