Hey guys just wanted to share an opportunity with all my fellow yt60 riders in search of more power. After finally giving up the hunt for a DG or FMF pipe I decided to fabricate my own expansion chamber. 3 prototypes later I have a pipe that makes a rather large bump in torque from 1/4 throttle all the way to the top end of the Rev range. I weigh in at just over 170 and I can sit in the center of the seat and with no assistance from a 1/4 throttle roll the little bike will lift the front tire almost to the 2 o'clock position. I have no Dyno sheets but seat of the pants testing I have noticed a large improvement throughout the Rev range and on the plus side no more carbon blocked canister. If interested please pm me. Pipe costs $80 in 22ga mild steel with no silencer. Silencer can be built for additional cost as well as the pipe can be built out of thicker steel for additional cost.

We don't have a Yt 60, but sure do like this type of tuning, trial and error and shop time. I can't think of a better way to spend a evening than testing and tuning carbs, cams and exhaust.

DG still makes a great performance pipe for the yt60 . I know it’s posted for a 4 zinger but it’s the same pipe . I purchased one of these about a year ago and it was a huge performance upgrade .

Did you ever get anywhere with this?
