Hey Trike fans! Decided I better post up more!
My story is this...my parents wouldnt let me have a 3 wheeler growing up. Now I have 4 of them.

Started out with a cherry pair of 110's. We rode the heck out of them! Looking to see if I can find a pic of the pair.

Then I came across a pair of mint 82 ATC200's that had been living under a cabin since new. I could not pay him 800 bucks for the pair fast enough! They are in amazing shape! 100% original and almost perfect. Many fun miles mostly in the snow on those 2 trikes!

Then I got an itch for something a little more drifty. Been watching a 350x for sale local for 1200$. I went and looked at it...pretty rough. $800 bucks later it was coming home with me. Why is it always 800 bucks LOL.
Couple "before" pics.

Lots of blood, sweat, pb-blaster, $$$, and tears later its starting to look more presentable!

257014

A day after picking up the 350x my gal got a cherry 200x to keep it company. She couldnt let me have all the fun sliding around!

257015

In between wrench sessions I have had some fun!

Thanks for the help and info over the years! Hopefully I can give back a lil in the future!

ps...no clue why my vertical pics are sideways sorry...they are rotated correct on my pc.

Welcome to the site. Weird that the pics are the right direction on your pc but the site rotates them. I guess it sets them up for PC viewing (widest left to right, shortest up and down). I swear I've seen vertical photos on here though.

Loading the 200x/350x pic it loads the correct direction if loaded in a new tab.

I spy a 4runner in the background of the before pic. Is that your machine or was it the seller's? Can't see a whole lot of it, but pretty sure it is an 86-89.

So you have a the 79? - 83 and older style pickup? Those are super rare around my area. I used to have a 20R carb though if that counts lol. If it's 4x4 I think it would be an interesting machine to ride in with the solid front axle setup and such.

I'm keeping my eye out on and off for a 93-97 era Land Cruiser that was wrecked or bad engine etc to steal the axles from. Front and rear E lockers factory. Should be similar width as my T100 I'd think, if it's narrower, I have some 89-95 frames I could use. Also have a 72 scout 2 frame that might work that's already solid axle setup (Dyna 44's, drum brakes all around). Those axles + a 1UZ 4.0L v8 (or maybe a Tundra 4.7L v8) with whatever body on top would make an interesting trail machine, or wood hauler or whatever. I have all the info on the wiring to make it happen and a spare 1UZ engine.

All my Toyota's are 86-2000. Daily driver is a 1990 Lexus LS400, super nice car, but the last group of owners didn't take care of it too great. It has a solid body, so that's why I went for it even with the issues. Have two parts cars so most things I have on hand. My 98 T100 is a rust bucket, but it's also my wood hauler. Kind of nice having a pickup with power windows, the 96 Tacoma I had was manual.

Newest is a pair of Tundras I bought for parts, one has a new frame though. It might be my next build to replace the T100.

If you need parts from that era of Toyota (some things interchange to the older machines), hit me up. Between my and and myself, we've had 60+ toyotas, mainly 92-2000 Camry, 93-97 Corolla, 86-95 pickups, 93-98 T100's, 95-99 Tacomas, and the lone 86 4runner.

I dont miss salty roads! Lots of old 70s and 80s iron driving around here in the high desert.
You can see a lil of my 69 FJ40 in one of my pics...baby blue. Mostly all stock and original. Ive owned it for a long time...its my baby!

Cool stuff, I've seen one locally and it was a rusted pile of a parts machine and they still wanted like $1500 for it. No wench, top, the tub/flooring was rusted out, and unknown if it ran.

Yea the salt here is bad. From what I've read Michigan is the worst state for trying to keep a vehicle from rusting out. There is normally so much salt dumped on the roads that the roads turn white. They've been cheaping out on the salt lately and only hitting the center of the road any more in my area.

Anyway, seems like you have the best of both worlds, desert, but also not super hot summer (I see snow in the pic). I suspect interiors don't get destroyed from the sun like they do in AZ.

I've owned alot of 4x4s over the years but these right here, are the best out of the box trail rig and stump pulling machines ever produced. I had a 78 FJ40 for a daily from 1996-2000 until I sold it to a collector. Most reliable vehicle I've owned too. My tub was rusted badly and back then, I had no way of fixing it properly so I sold it. It was bone stock except shackles and 33s on aftermarket wheels.

I liked it alot more than my 78 CJ7 as well

In fourth gear, it topped out at about 64mph, if I recall, but you could pull down small trees with it

Nice original looking rig. I'm hoping you are still running the I-6? They are hard to find around here without a small block conversion.

Running gear is all original. It's got a floor shift conversion and springs/shackles. Other than that all stock! Took me over a year of shopping before i found this one. Wanted original paint so nothing could be hiding, and original drivetrain because who doesn't like idling thru the woods at 400 rpm lol.

Yup, where I'm from you never see the old Toyota's in one piece anymore. The rain we get here is just too hard on em. Really nice to see a survivor like yours. Thanks for sharing.

Back to trikes...

I had some bent fork tubes. I scored a set of real clean 83-84 250r forks and swapped the tubes and internals onto my lower sliders.
