85 250r fresh lower and upper rebuild ..

Just rebuilt motor it had been setting 10years ,cleaned carb put rebuild kit in it starts and idles fine [pilot jet 52]main 142...When u hit the gas tho it bogs like it's running out of gas .tried different main jet still same,can adjust air screw and it has no effect either way you turn it .anybody have any wisdom of wut to do ?

I've seen this happen twice believe it or not. a rag was put in an airbox and missed during assembly. enough air to idle but dies above that. thats my only experience with your symptoms.hope someone has a better answer.

No rag in it .does the same with breather off too

Check the reeds sounds like your issue. Could be an air leak, but it would probably be idling high if it was.
