I have a YTM225 that just got a new set of piston rings put in, a valve job and top end seals. The machine has 115psi currently , the spark is strong (white/blue) and the stator is reading 172ohm, the timing is set properly and the carb is spotless. I have put gas into the spark plug hole and can't get it to even sputter. My choke is working freely and I've had the valves times at .005 in and .009 ex to .008 in and .014 ex, I can't get it to start for the life of me, any help would be appreciated. One thing I have noticed is that on the exhaust valve cover has a factory plug instead of the decompression valve.

Just a wild guess here without looking in my manual, but it sounds to me like you may have too much valve clearance. You should check in a manual for the right clearances.
