Wouldn't let a silly CDI stand in my way. If I couln't track down a good OEM CDI, I'd cut the factory connector off, have ps2fixer set me up with the pins and a 4+2 plug and replace it with a later model CDI. More trouble explaining it than doing it.

I would go check it out.... as long as it still starts and runs when you're there to see the problem with the CDI plug

I actually didn’t even see that part about haspin, neat.
personally i despise massachusetts entirely, been here 95% percent of my life, left for a bit -long story, no details-, one day i hope to leave for good, not the same place though, thinking nh or maine, real salt of the earth up that way.
