hello ive got a 1982 lt125 with shift problems
can change gears from 2nd 3rd an 4th can not get it to shift into first or neutrel
plz help kinda lost an not knowing anything about the bike

Looks like you’re new here, so :welcome:

There’s a bike section as well that you’d normally post this in.

Anyway, assuming that you have had the bike running while trying to get it into the lower gears, make sure there are no obstructions to the shift lever like a skid plate bracket, or a broken tree branch.

If that all checks out you’re probably looking at having to remove the engine and completely disassembling it to find out what the problem is. If you have the tools and the will it’s not a difficult task, but if your tool box consists of claw hammer and an adjustable wrench you should probably not attempt it.
