Atc200m no compression

I recently had no spark , it was the cdi magnet, had to replace the cham shaft and top of the engine , now i have no compression at all , i put gasket goop on top of all the gaskets , no compression, plently of spark. Now my decompression level is completely loose and freely spins and wiggles; could that be it?

Double check the timing, and the valve adjustment as well as the cam gear orientation. Cam lobes should point down at TDC..
