just put new shoes on my trike. Still barely any rear brakes. I have to press the pedal very far. The adjustment wing nut cranked all the way on. I have read that several member have moved the brake arm two or three notches on brake cam to fix this I looked up new cables (mine are original) and looked up new drum (mine doesn't look bad but i didn't measure it) but only could find used drums. Has any one else have have had success or any ideas on to improve rear brake action. Excuse my fat finger typing. I just got of the three wheeler for a ride and its cold with no gloves! forgiveone picture It loaded upside down!! Peace

I wouldn’t adjust the brake arm. They can be tricky. Just a guess here but the cable is probably stretched. I’d just replace it. Last I looked the short foot cable was like $17-20 on eBay? Good luck

Did you buy OEM Honda shoes ?
Most of the aftermarket / china shoes are crap . They give you very spongy non adjustable braking

There's a punch hole on the brake shaft, and the brake arm is missing a spine or has another mark. Normally they should line up else your drum or brakes are out of spec.

Here's the specs for the drum and pads.
