Oh I like this thread already.

Holding the throttle wide open clears a flooded engine. I feel this should be common knowledge, but I see people give up on starting flooded engines all the time simply because they don't know enough to keep the throttle open. I see professionals on TV unaware of this procedure as well. Flooded engines start when you hold the throttle wide open. I've showed people this and then watched them NOT do it under an hour later. People refuse to believe it works for some reason. Two weeks ago I saw someone advising the guy with the flooded engine to "Remove the spark plug and flip the machine upside-down, then crank it over with the plug out." FFS... Just last week I watched a two stroke drag racer forfeit his race because he couldn't get his bike started. To make things worse, a second person came over and cupped his hands over the carburetor horns only serving to flood the engine even more. I almost threw a chair through the TV.

Dihydrogen Monoxide is colorless, odorless, and tasteless.

It has been used by interogators to torture and elcitite information from prisoners. It's approved by the FDA as a food and beverage ingredient, and is so widely used, there's a 100% chance it's in your body and impossible to remove without causing death.

If your ATV tire goes flat and you have no other means to fill it, you can simply elevate the tire, remove and replace the valve stem and you will have approximately 2 pounds of air pressure in the tire depending on the elevation you were at at the time you did this.

Some sort of blower or supercharger is a requirement for any two stroke diesel engine, however it does not provide a boosted intake charge. Therefore, a two stroke diesel engine with a blower only is known as naturally aspirated, and only those which include a turbo are boosted. The turbo cannot be used on it's own in place of the blower.

When it's summer in North America, it's winter in South America.

Contrary to popular belief the Coriolis force isn't strong enough to change direction that the water in a toilet bowl spins when flushed, so depending on the design of the loo the water can swirl the same direction as it does in the Northern hemisphere..... winter or summer.

Flathead is the largest fresh water lake, west of the Mississippi River. Going to the sun road is pretty short and won’t be fully open for awhile, so maybe that’s why the lower elevations are clogged. The only time I remember being there is September, when it slows down a bit.

Conway Twitty's real name is Harold Lloyd Jenkins. His stage name supposedly came from picking names from two random cities.......Conway, Arkansas and Twitty, Texas.
His drummer, Tommy "Porkcop" Markham was from Conway, AR......coincidence?

When I was a teenager, my family went to a show in Branson, MO and my dad told us, "Hey, that's Tommy Markham on the drums."
Oh, Tommy Markham.......who the hll is that?
After the show you could go up to the stage and meet the performers. As we worked our way through the line, Tommy called out my dad by name. They shook hands and talked about way back when of their hometown. Tommy mentioned a story where my dad caught him trying to steal a baseball glove from the store my dad worked at.

Definitely. What was done is done, might as well enjoy a laugh when you can. That was normal in the time period, the same as free range smoking was. Can't change it, so why fret?
