Hello ,

I just have a quick question , i recently got a Honda 1984 200s im trying to revive. i cleaned the carb because it was all gummed up and put everything back together and went to start it . i pulled on the throttle and something didnt feel right like it was binding . so i took everything back off and realized my throttle cable was broken and there was no retaining thing at the end of the cable . i dont remember seeing one and i cannot find it . im afraid that it got sucked into the intake and down the motor and i dont want to kill the motor . i havent started it up again as i have to wait for a new throttle cable anyway . Do i go hunting or will it be ok and make its way out ?

Thanks

It couldn’t hurt to take a look. You could take the carb and intake boot off and use a telescoping magnet to pull it out if it dropped into the intake. Oil change could not hurt either.
