ATC70 CDI CONVERSION how to

just bought one of the japan cdi kit for my 85 atc70. but no instructions with it. i obviously know where the stator plate goes. no idea where the little black box goes and do i use a regular 6v coil. if someone could point me to a website or help me in anyway. the reason im using cdi is because could not get plug to fire. tried 2 new coils,2 set points, 2 new condensors and new spangler ignition kit. i am not a rookie working on these hondas, been working on them for 40 years never had one that could not get to fire eventually! ive owned 6 of these atc70 never had this problem. Been a little while since doing one but I believe the wires are colored coded to both new units , cdi / stator , plug them
In , extra black wire goes to the hot on the coil . The extra wires coming out of the stator would be for lighting .

thanx shortline. DO I USE THE POINT COIL and where do i mount the black box. what will trigger the coil to fire?

Use the original factory 6volt coil . The CDI is self learning so no pickup coil is needed .
It’s a strange setup but works well .
