Well folks I know I will be watching this evening. Have no idea what to expect, polls say only 29% of voters suggested they are waiting on watching the candidates debate before making their choice.
Didn't see another 2020 POTUS thread so here's to opening up a discussion.

There won't be much of a debate. The questions are already known and scripts written. Biden won't be able to stick to the script anyway and he'll probably default to calling Trump racist then do a mic drop.
Afterwards, the respective party's news outlets will describe how their candidate crushed it and babble on the rest of the night and into the next morning about something you could have watched yourself, without them trying to convince you that what you seen wasn't how it really happened and the average voter is too dumb to understand words made into complete sentences.

Well, why not have a live chat over this monumental brain fart?
I'm here, got my adult beverage and ready to watch Biden forget what century he's in.

Don't know why.....but I watched it. I'm a voter that thinks my choices are piss poor this year as was the 2016 election but I know who I'm voting for.
Things that caught my attention is Trump did just as he did to Hillary.....bully his way in each discussion. Bully may be a strong word and as one pundit said, you either like that or you don't.
Also was Trump jabbing at Biden's party as being socialist. Biden kept saying 'his plan' but Trump kept saying his 'left wing' or 'socialist' party will dictate him. That's probably my biggest concern in this mess. Biden is probably more middle of the road (moderate) as I am but I don't like where his party is headed. Same can probably be said about the Republicans.
I laughed at it more than I took it serious. Laughed at the way Trump just kept dominating the mic and landing jabs.
Biden's son.....veterans dying with poor healthcare under his watch as VP......his socialist party......his years of public service with nothing to show for it
For me, it was hard to hear Biden's plan because Trump dominates the mic.......and Trump doesn't have a plan. He shoots from the hip.
Like most pundits say, your mind is probably already made.
Are we debating who 'won' the debate?

The world wouldn't survive without "bullies" Trump has had 3 almost 4yrs to do what he's promised, I'd have to say he did a damn well job! Except getting rid of the failed obamacare crud, but another 4yrs will get rid of that.
4yrs think about it- and he spent most of that time wiping the tears of the democrats (sore losers) that cheat/lie.
I feel sorry for the believers that watch the main stream media, you cant believe a single word they say.
I dont go for the whole global warming thing-yes polution may have helped it along "but" its been proven the world works in cycles warming trend to cooling.
Then u got the democrat (left) made riots-
and the blm racists.
ya i'm still a trump guy if u hadn't noticed.
H clinton and obumma should be locked up in my opinion
I wont explain my words, the truth is out there to be seen just open your eyes.

I called it!
Biden flat out called Trump racist during the debate.
I was rambling on during the debate in the 3WW chat room but nobody was joining in. I wanted some banter to help me through such a tough thing to watch.
The moderator was very, very biased toward Biden, which pretty much meant Trump was debating two people, and he even told the moderator that he can handle debating both of them. That was the worst part of the whole debate, having to watch Trump defend himself from the media like he's had to do the entire time in office. Biden looked like he had some speaking points he was reading from.
Biden called the POTUS a clown and told him to shut up. That's alright, Trump tore into him about China, all his years of doing nothing, his anti police stance and how he couldn't name a single law and order agency that backed him.
I'm not supportive of attacking someone's family during a debate though. Those are pretty much fighting words. There was some of that coming from both sides and it's very embarrassing to our country to see them get that low. There's a lot of well intentioned, level headed parents out there who do the absolute best they can to raise strong minded and good children, but for all their efforts, their children fall prey to the many traps in this world. I felt for Biden when Trump mentioned his son's drug problems. All the political corruption from Biden's family about it or not, there's been a lot of parents whose children have died from overdosing or committed suicide because of their drugged out mental state. It's corrupt for the children of wealthy politicians to avoid facing the same consequences as less fortunate people and I'd guess that's understood by everyone who's less fortunate. We know the history of Biden's family and the corruption, it's not the time to bring it up during a presidential debate.
Either the next moderators are going to be unbiased, or they'll be anti Trumpers again, which will just bring more votes for Trump.
The Covid and race questions given to Trump were loaded. That was pretty easy to see coming. So were the attempts to blame Trump for places like Portland burning down from riots. Trump gave a good reply about the anti American indoctrination that's been happening in schools, which is stealing the future from children and turning them into angry, hate filled zombies that'll throw the best years of their life away for a cause not their own.
The moderator held Biden's hand through the whole debate.

Is the world laughing with us?
Is the next debate going to happen?
Is anyone wanting to mediate the 3WW chat room during the next debate? (You can try)
We've still got the VP debates...2020 going down in history, like books.

Well, I'm watching the VP debate now.
Drinking TwistedTea Half&Half whenever Kamal speaks, and Miller Lite when Mike does.

I think I should try to get my old Fracing job back. Nothing like controling 10,000+ horsepower by touch screen. The scream of the quad turbo diesel engines and shifting of gears under thousands of pounds of pressure. It's like a drag race, with hundreds of thousands of dollars at risk each time. Sand off, or successfully Frac the well. It doesn't go right every time.
Picture an I-6 Kenworth hauling a V-12 Cat powered pump with transmission, and multiples of those on one location, all connected together by cat-5 cable and controlled by one person, either by one truck or inside the Frac van. Some of those being shoved into position by a dozer if it's muddy. So close, there's no room to walk between the duals and cab mirrors have to be folded in. Have to walk under the pumps just to move between trucks.
I've got some negative feelings too, but at the time, money, money, money.

Just wow.
Not very long into the debate, Kamala's voice begins to tremble. She was probably so confident in herself, then Mike just destroyed here, owning her all through the debate. She even tried to emulate empathy when she noticed how sincere Mike appeared on several points, but she failed to create the same effect. She's intellectually inferior to Mike, and it looked like she didn't understand that until last night, and right on camera.
Kamala was extremely unprepared for the debate, but I'm not surprised. Not only is Mike's superior education, intelligence and experience evident during the debate, but he clearly took it serious and prepared, not willing to underestimate an opponent.
It didn't her long to start making emotional pleas, trying to stir up her target audience and coerce them into denying facts and reason.
How many more of these? This is going to be a good segue into a Mike Pence campaign next election.

The presidential debate was difficult to watch. I actually got dry mouth I hung the damn thing open in "awe" for so long lol. I'm amazed at how well Biden actually composed himself. I figured he was going to stumble all over himself, and look like a fool the way he has the last 6 months. Maybe he's been sandbagging lol.
VP debate. Couldn't watch much of that. I couldn't get passed how loud of the message women against old white men was being screamed. You can't have an actual discussion when your only focus is to make the other side look bad, and hurl insults.
Its just an all out fist fight. At the end of the day I voted for Trump. I love how much he has shook up the system. And watching everyone go after him for rocking the boat is entertaining. Sometimes though, I wish he would shut the hell up.

For sure, Trump needs to drink a big cup of shut the hell up up before the next one. He's been like that most of his (all?) of his life, so it's no surprise. The guy had a television show which was pretty much based on his personality, so, meh. It would be an easier to watch debate if he would control his yapper.
Biden was probably pumped full of nootropics and prescription level stuff to keep him as sharp as possible (not that he was) and from tripping over his own tongue. I don't have any doubt he has some type of dementia. The eyes give it away, it's not just what he says.
I'm pretty much sworn off of watching any college and professional sports at this point. No music or movie award shows either. Really, I'm pretty much done with television all together, nothing but garbage on it.
These debates though, I'm going to watch. These are going to be some of the most entertaining presidential debates I've ever seen.

So who wants to bet the moderator will sidestep the explosive allegations from multiple sources about Joe Biden selling influence to foreign countries?

I tried watching......but kept flipping the channel back to ESPN and Fox to watch football. My wife kept growling every time I stopped on the debate for more than a few seconds. I did notice in that short time of watching, they seemed to have corralled Trump. He didn't interrupt and you could hear Biden for once (not that I wanted to hear what he has to say.) Biden's numbers just don't add up. You throw that out there along with members of his party wanting to take it even further and they will drag him down with them.......it turns into the coffers running dry.
sled, did the allegations come up?
I am surprised if they did. Already mentioned earlier in this thread, questions are so one-sided and loaded with shots at Trump implying his administration has failed (CV-19, families separated at border, etc.)
They wouldn't do that to Biden.
Went and did my civic duty today. Arkansas is red again for the presidency but there is a House race that is too close to call. Back-to-back-to-back commercials all day/night with these 2 candidates. It will be one to watch.
If Biden wins, I will keep on about my business and say 'oh well.'
If Trump wins, I will laugh at all the weeping and gnashing of teeth.

During all of the debates, they gave different questions to each, clearly showing a bias.
They shouldn't have MSM representatives (can't call them journalist or reporters) as moderators. The alphabet news agencies are owned by just a handful of corporations, whose continual operation depends on their willingness to agree with and promote those corporation's political agenda.
For a moderator, I would've liked to seen an experienced, well educated, small business opener, give relative questions from the middle class.
Maybe even a well respected high school teacher.
At any rate, someone who typically doesn't have the access to directly ask the POTUS questions, but is the backbone of this country. Not MSM and their anti-American agenda.
