I have been reading through any posts I can get my hands on to figure out a way to bypass or fix my inhibitor switch on my rebuilt Big Red 250. Local Honda shop diagnosed it at the inhibitor switch and from what I have read I would agree. Any help would be appreciated!

If your talking about the neutral safety switch ? It’s on the right side of the motor , pull it off the sensor and ground it , neutral green light should come on now .

Hi shortline10. Thanks for the quick reply. i have neutral green light. I am not getting any spark. It was intermittent, then went completely flat.

If your green light turns on and off with the gear selector then your inhibitor / neutral switch is working properly .
I can tell you the most faulty ignition parts on that machine are the ignition switch and the CDI box .
The switch can be easily tested with a multimeter but the CDI can only be tested against a known good working one .
Make sure to check all electrical connections to rule those out .
