anybody know of any good replacement front brake mastercylinders for a 1983 honda 200x. the original one on it broke after being rolled. I cant find any decently price OEM ones on ebay.

Here's the one I bought for mine.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Brake-Master-Cylinder-for-Honda-ATC-1983-1985-ATC200X-1981-1984-ATC250R-A-/203350812259?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0

It went up $1.00 since I purchased it but for $17 it seems worthy. It looks the part and my master cylinder guard fits it.

i use honda trx quad ones, all are the same and bolt on. 300ex or 400ex, 450r ones are pretty nice. 200x ones are just garbage.

Once I tried one of the cheap Chinese Ebay master cylinders. I didn't like it because there was no feel to it. It stopped just fine, but there was no increase in the resistance as I pulled the lever farther/harder. Maybe it was just that one or that brand. I took it back off and used one from a 2006 CR85.

For anyone else with a 200x that doesn’t want to spend 120 on a 35 year old beat up reservoir your best best is trx450r

Good info. I haven’t had front brakes on my 200x for years because of the master cylinder.
