Antique Tractor Show Adams Tennessee

I've always been gay for antique steam, gas, diesel machinery since my grandad took me to a threshing show when I was 12.

Anyway I jumped on the biker and rode an hour into Adams Tennessee this Saturday (home of the Bell Witch) and checked out the antique thresher show and pony/mule pull (I missed the ponies and mules)

I almost bought an old Farmall tractor but I had no way to get it home since I was on the bike and honestly, I need another project like I need four more holes in my head right now. The garage and driveway is full.

Here's some highlight pics.....I would've made room for the Cle-trac crawler though. I love the crawlers.

There were a bunch of little engines, hit and miss steam petroleum fueled. Not many pics of them, I took mostly short vids but don't think I can upload them here. I almost bought one of those, but again I was on a street bike with no way to haul it home. Makes our tricycles seem rather new and modern.
I love the old steel wheeled tractors, and glad to see people are keeping them alive.

Damn that’s way more pics than I’ve seen from TF lol. Tractor shows are pretty neat to see what they had to work with back in the day and what all they got done with them. One of the biggest thing I think is neat is there wasn’t any Cnc machines back then making them no real computer driven machines all hand made with belt driven machines. And it’s a testament to the machines back then cause some of those tractors are push 100 years old and still able to do the work like when they were new!

Those steam rigs gave me a full boner.

Every hit n miss engine I see locally is yard art. Once I retire I would like a working one and would love a small steam power plant.....both just to watch run.

Awesome pictures Iron, thanks for posting. I always try and see an old tractor/steam display whenever I get a chance....love those old machines. A little crawler would be pretty cool to own. The WW2 Cletrac Hi Speed Tractor would be awesome!

Ride there was a little wet....I was chasing the radar, so to speak because I was over an hour from the house. I don't mind riding in the rain if I'm within 30 minutes of home and as long as it's not lightning or pouring out

I love tractor shows, we have always went to them. My grandpa collected tractors so it trickled down to dad then me. Dad and I still have several tractors but not as many as we once did. I'm going to a forestry show this weekend, Fabio mite come to it so I'll see if he can post some pictures of the old chainsaws I'm taking.

Here's the show Kiser was talking about. There were plenty of internal combustion tractors there but I have a preference for external. I was impressed with the amount of steam at this show. I got some video as well but I don't really have a way to post videos on the site here.

They are raising money right now to add a sprinkler system and a big addition onto the current building. That doesn't sound like it's closing down unless something changed since last week

That's great! I wish nothing that preserved the past would ever shut the doors. Its actually the days gone by museum in TN that I was thinking of, and upon further research I'm not sure they are closing, but there is some awesome stuff up for sale. Have fun!
