I'm new to this forum and am trying to figure out the different style tanks that Honda use, like where there models who got tanks redesigned after a while and what models use the same exact tank, I'm not worried about the colors they used or the stickers they used but the actual tanks themself. here is what I've seen so far correct me if I'm wrong and please help fill in gaps.

atc70
(73-74)
(78-85) not sure if there was a change.

us90/atc90
(69-78) shares tank with (79-80 atc110)
69 models are sold as 70 I believe.
70-71 has indent for badge but is the same tank.

atc110
(79-80) shares tank with (69-78 us/atc90)
(81-82) not sure if it shares a tank with anything
(83-85) same tank as (84-85 atc125m)

atc125m
(84-85) same as (83-85 atc110)
(86-87) switched to vertical engine and got whole new design.

atc185
(1980) looks to be same as (81-82 185s) and (81-82 200)

atc185s
(81-82) same as (185) and (81-82 200)
(1983) looks to be same but is a different size gas cap (83 200) and (84-86 200s)

atc200
(81-82) same as (185), and (81-82 185s)
(1983) larger gas cap (83 185s) and (84-86 200s)

atc200s
(84-86) same as (83 200) and (83 185s)

atc200e/200es/200m
(82-85) all used the same tank

atc200x
(83-85)
(86-87)

atc250r
(81-82)
(83-84)
(85-86)

atc250es
(85-88)

atc250sx
(85-87)

atc350x
(85-86)

most the information I got from another forum but doesn't seem complete to me. I'm not too sure with the atc70, atc90, atc110, and atc125. I'm also not sure about any other changes with the 185 and 200. I know most the 185 and 200 models all can share gas tanks but there not all a perfect fit. if there are any design changes in any of the tanks that I have wrong or missed, let me know.

edit: I will edit the information in this post, so all the info is in the same spot, and you don't need to scroll to find something you may need.

I believe that the 1980 ATC185 had a tank that was shaped similar to the 100 of the same year. It did not look like the 185S tanks.

it's very possible. I will do more research; I have a 1981-82 185s tank and I might know someone with a 1980 185 tank I can compare the 2 and see. I think the 1980 185 and the 81-82 atc200 have the same tank and if so I have a 81 200 tank I will see if they are the same or not. thanks for the input.

I have a survivor 80 185. I got it with the original tank, but didn't realize it. It was full of rust. It was also about the same color as the 90 that was stored in a separate shed as it's rear fenders and seat were. I didn't see the 90 tank and since this tank was a similar shape as the tank on the 75 90 that I had at the time, I thought it was the 90 tank. I didn't get the 90 so I left it behind when I moved. It was a year or so later when I saw a picture of a 80 185 on here. Then I remembered that the tank it came with only had one fuel line coming off of it. I was sick thinking that I left the correct tank behind.

I was watching a YouTube video about atc 70 through each year and the gas cap and filler was brought up. The 78-85 models had some small changes to the tank that I wasn't aware of, some of the tanks had flatter gas caps and the filler was more flush. The latter models had taller gas caps and the filler stuck out more. Does any one know what years use what style.
