YT 125 Throttle Cable replacement

I was given a YT 125 for fixing up. I purchased a throttle cable but am wondering how to get the new cable installed. I cant find out how to get the little "white" plastic disc where the two cables attach to the single new cable out of the plastic molded piece. Any help would be great.
