Need some good advice: '85 250es big red

Hello there,

A friend of mine Chris, he is selling his 1985 Honda 250es bigred for $800 buck to me but now Chris's dad wanting selling Big Red for $950

Here is some details about this big red

He bought it brand new back in 1985 and he used that bike for hunting all it life.

Here is bad parts

He left that big red outside nearly 3 years and it all rustly big red and it still running strong. and the fenders cracked too and it been fixed the fenders.

So what you guys think about that? Should i buy it for $???

if it is your intention to have a utility machine ,,, i'd say you probly won't be able to do much better then 950. original owner ,,, adult riden.


if your wanting to race or do jumps, wheelies, big hill climbs ,,, it shouldn't be even considered for purchase.

i have nearly 1800 into my restro ,,, but it is gonna be with me a longgg time cause i love it to death ,,, i have another machine that i can screw myself up on if i feel the need - lol.

Hey, i do owned 86 250es big red and 1987 atc 250sx, but i would like to have another 250es big red, cuz it's my favorite bike and using it for hunting and a little haul around from behide of my waveraider waverunner down to the beach during summer time..

So, i need some good advide about price of 85 250es big red for sale from a friend of mine, he is only 5 min away from my house.

I would like to buy it but how much should i asking him to go lower the price for, you know.

$800 is prolly a good price for it. but we need a pic to be more accurate.

I told my friend to sent some pic of his 85 250es but he don't having any pic yet so he going bring big red down and i will see the bike in person,, if i wanna to buying it or not if i buying it then i'll post pic of bike

$800, sound high to me but 250es 3 years left outside by seen through snow/rain etc....

i would like to buying it cheap like $400 to 700 like that

What do you guys think?
