Well about a month ago i decided to part out my 1985 250sx with 200x front end. It was still in need of some parts and I was just sick of putting money into it and I really wanted a 200x or 350x. I wasn't sure how i would fare but i was afraid of not getting the money I put into back if i sold the bike whole. Well after a lot of work and time (taking the bike a part, listing on ebay and packing) it was worth it. I know most of you guys are against parting out but after seeing what other people were getting selling whole I'm still glad i went this route. I ended up getting $1330 and had $1100 into it. Most of my profit came from a roller 200x that i used for my front end that i got for free after selling the parts i didn't need off of it. I have to admit it was a lot of work and time consuming probably not worth it for most people, I'm just lucky i did most of my packing and shipping from work. I think i went to the post office or setup UPS packages everyday for two weeks straight. I have included a pdf of all the parts and prices i got. Thanks to anyone here that bought any of my parts and i hope they worked out good for you. By the way there is a 350x up the street from me which is very rare in my area that i'm going to have to go take a look at.

Thanks John. Yup you said it "a lot of work". Actually disassembly was the easiest part. I would hate to put everything back together. I've been ebaying for 6 years now so listing was pretty easy. But packing everything, specially the big stuff (forks, engine, plastics) . I got pretty lucky too that i had good buyers. I didn't have one non paying bidder.
