I think mint might be talking about "bombing" which is slang for modding engines because they turn into "bombs" once they've been modded to much.

Grenade, or grenading is a term used describe an engine that has been built to perform, but if it blows up, so be it! No big loss. Say a quick hone, cheapo set of pistons, rings and bearings, a cam and there you have it, a grenade engine!
