PC help -Address Bar??

Silly question but how on earth do I stop "auto complete" and the history on the address bar??

I almost got caught buying muddytrikegirl her engagemant ring because it was in the address bar. I had to make up some sort of a lie and will wait longer to give it to her - maybe a good thing! :rolleyes: But anyhow I can delete daily history but this thing is still storing all the addresses and I want to eliminate it. Thanks!

go to "tools" on the bar with "file" "edit' etc. and then go to Internet options. Then click delete cookies, then delete files, then click clear history. It should all be gone then.

Thank you, that will take care of whats in there- but then how do I stop it permanently?? I am running widows 98. Thanks!

i really dont know if you can. Just change the "Days to keep history" to 0 and maybe that will work, but other than that I dont know.

I believe it is, Tools>internetion options>Advanced>look for "Underline Links" and then just a few check boxes under that is Auto-complete, uncheck it and restart and you should be ok.

you haveto delete all your history and cache files....and your temporary internet files

Another tip....instead of using the address bar, hit CTRL+O, and type the adresss in there, it won't show up in the address bar.
