Last Saturday Night: Jumped in my jeep and headed into town to see a friend... Hit deer going 65mph. Smashed bumper, passenger headlight, turn signal, parking light, headlight, grill, and everything that holds them in place. Big deer ran off. Hope he died.

This week: was spent searching for parts

This Saturday night about 30min ago: Jumped into my jeep and headed into town to see a friend... Hit deer going 45 mph and applying brakes. Was driving carefully and was even passed shortly before the incident by another car, happened 2 miles away from last weeks crash. Didn't see it at all until it was too late. Little deer was killed instantly. So was my heap but it resarted and I putz home with one headlight pointing straight at the ground.

Sorry I just had to share! Peace and Happy Easter! -Nick

We have tons of deer up here in the winter too, away from Lake Superior they get more snow, so I think they all come down next to the shore along highway 61 where there isn't quite as much snow, a guy I work with has hit two going pretty slow, my cousin has hit 3, and I went in the ditch because of one. After a weekend driving to work monday I'd see about 3 fresh hits from the past weekend. I bet the auto body shops are loving it.

No you can hunt them all year round if you have a permit. They are boring to hunt, very easy. Most of the hunting is done spotlighting, which i dont call hunting, more like culling. They have nice furs though. Some of them big 'roo's weigh in excess of 150 kgs. Pretty damn heavy.
