i heard that honda chromes the inside of their motor.. i am courious to know if this is true :?: .. let me know guys

I'm curious to this as well folks. I can't see any advantages to this, plus after you run the engine for a while, you wouldn't be able to tell if it was chromed or not, so why bother?

I HAVE OPENED UP SEVERAL MOTORS OVER THE YEARS AND NEVER SEEN OR HEARD OF IT,,,,,,,, i can't see any advantage so i say no!!!

I have heard of the inside of cylinder bores having a chrome coating. Most or all piston aircraft engines have this. I have seen some old Kawi 2-strokes having this also.

inside reffering to the bore than yes,,,, its a coating called nikasil ,,its very thin and cools way better than a regular cylinder,,,, you never bore it ,,just get it redone very spendy too,,,, but lasts for years,,,,,, :D :D :D
