anyone know anything about the blaster with a 240 kit. My friend just bought one on ebay and it has 4 grand in just assesories. 240 kit with 36 mm carb pipe and silencer. cr 250 reed cage or something like it. +4 swingarm and much more. The owner on ebay said it would beat a raptor and banshee up to 65mph. ( I dont know about that). Are these really that fast. I know that I will have better top end than him but will it acellerate faster than my 86R? my R is mostly stock.

A 240 kit w/ the right mods will give a blaster around 38 or 40 HP. I've never rode one w/ a 240 kit but I hear they are wicked fast. They are very fast in short runs and are capable of beating bigger quads in a heartbeat until the bigger quads get up in the high rpms(,,over 65mph).It all depends on how the blaster is set up and geared.
What kind of gas are you running. I was told a 240 requires 106 octane or better; thats the reason I havent put the kit on mine yet.

They have plenty of power, yes they are fast, i rode one and i could pick the front end up in any gear, it was also ported, it was built for drag racing, it will onlly get my 84mph quadracer by a bike length.

if the 240 is set up right and the rider is capable, the blaster should give a fairly stock 250r a good run for its money.

as far as the octane requirements, that depends how the head is set up and what compression you have. Once the blaster gets around 160 psi it is time to start running "race gas".

i also had a 97 230 blaster with many mods ... that was my fastest bike i think. my buddies had z400s and i had no problem at all with keeping up and even passing them
