Scanning a picture

This a stupid question but how do you scan a picture?

You pick up a scanner from a local computer shop, you plug it into your comp, you put the picture you want to scan in it, you press scan and its done! lol...maybe a lil harder than that tho :rolleyes:

did it actually scan anything? The one I used to have had an idiot button. A large nonlabeled button that you pressed and pressed and it did nothing. Kinda like a pölock joke. Anyways, on the new one it sends the stuff to the desktop and I decide where to put it from there. I have Microtek scanmaker 5900. It has a button on the screen that sez 'scan to...'. Open up your software and try to save something. I think thats the easiest way to find out.
