they did a special on that on myth busters a while back. they couldn't get the cd's to disintegrate in regualr cd rom drives, so they used a grinder like those guys did. its pretty cool though, i wouldn't want to get hit by that stuff

I had a cd blow up in my cd-rom. It scared the sh!t out of me. It was a brand new 52x with an old cd in it. I took the cd-rom to the place I got it and got a new one.

That is very cool!

Try this one, get a cup and put a cd on it upside down then put it in the microwave for 10 secs and watch it fry, you can see the microwaves frying it!
