Thats right .... Don't ask me questions about what I want .. this is all I am telling you, I want something with alot/enough power

Don't want either 450's

Tell me what you think I should get I am also thinking about some of the older 2 stroke racers :D

Just tell me what you think is the best quad for power and reliability, best over all.

yeah but the thing around here (in the maritimes, if you live here you will know) its like impossible to get a "fast" trike .. fasting thing you will find is like the 200x, and I guess from what you said my 175 will beat that so ya. I need something with more power. :D Maybe I can get two and cut the front end off one and make you happy, or get like a xr500 or xl650 and convert it :TrikesOwn lol

So for power you mean balls? Not low end torque, like you would get from a new Grizz or something like that correct? Like not pulling power, you want wheelie power so-to-speak? Banshee's are nice, but they are a higher maintenance quad. Then again anything that performance wise is going to be high maintenace.

well if this is a wish list. ive always wanted a cannondale but like i said wish list. how about a rebel star 250. ive read a little about them and they came with a 2 stroke 250cc rotax motor. there is always a tiger they came with rotax motors too. realisticly i would probably go with one of the old 2 strokes. a trx250r or a lt250r maybe. those are just my thoughts.

I would get one of those red quads, I can't remember the brand right now, but it was a 2-stroke 250 and had 3 wheels.

honda200

I have had quite a few 250Rs. I currently have a 86 with an 89 motor. It was a motocrosser. I picked it up for $3400. It is way faster than my 02 Raptor or my 02 400EX was. It does have about $8k dropped into it though. It has been my favorite that I have ever owned. I can promise you that it will take anything stock and most things that aren't. It isn't the fastest out there, but I bet there isn't much that will take it.

If I was to buy a brand new quad right now i'd be a yammie 450 no questions asked.

if you want a good old two stroke get a TRX250R or a Tecate 4

Yardbird

Well if you don't want one of the new 450's. I'd take the Yammie over the Honda as far as those two are concerned for this years models. But I think the next best 4 stroke quad would be the DS650 Baja X. It's a little heavy but it rides great and the weight really isn't a factor unless you like catching mass air. Some have said it's a little wide for the trails too. I like the black plastics and the power of the Rotax 650.

Looney tooned exhaust retails for 800 bucks, he got it for free.

i would have to say a cannondale or a 250r, fortunatly for me i have both. I have the 2004 prototype cannondale moto. this is the only carbon fiber axle quad in the world. I also have an 02 cannibal and a 03 cannibal that i bought new recently. I also have a 1987 250r i got new and only rode a few times..has like 5 hrs on it..i kick myself for selling my 90 qzilla with like 10 hours on it but i can tell you my cannondal;es are waayy faster than my r and my 04 is supposedly 68 hp(it is a 450)) and is a whole lot faster than my other 'dales(the 02 has a 450 too)

As soon as Honda gets there head out of there arse I'd buy the TRX450R. But for now I would still love to have an 89 TRX250R that hasn't been worked on by a dimwit.

A good old TRX250R....or maybe an LT250R would be nice also... :) but if you want to go more original, get a Tecate-4, there's one for sale near me, 3000 bucks (CAN) with all the original parts in a box....hit me back if you're interested! :D

I'm going to keep building/rebuilding my blasters and running them. For where I ride,I havent found a suitable replacement yet.I dont think I would buy a new blaster either(03 and up). They dont steer nearly as sharp as the old drum brakes do.I also dont like where the headlight is on the new blaster.
I've ridden a few of the big 4 stroke quads and love the power and handling, but they're just to big and heavy.I cant manuever any of them in tight woods and rocks like I can a blaster.
If I was racing MX,flat track all the time i would get a YFZ for sure.

I went for the Yamaha warrior 03, not the fastest thing around but great for trail riding and a blast up a fire trail, good fuel consumption for those long trail rides and great seating position. Its a bit weak in the handling department when hard pushed but over all I am happy with it, out of 10 I would give it a 7.5. Regards Fester :beer

what about a warrior they are nice plus they are 4 stoke so if yer like us Prince Edward Islanders who jsut take yer quads straight to the station n fill up then its perfect. They'll also haul balls at about 60-65 miles an hour so you have plenty of speed. I like my blaster its perfect for everything i want and its cheap.

Get yourself a quadzilla....bet youll never use all the power ;) . After working at a cycle shop for the summer, i found out that warriors are junk, raptors clutch discs burn out, banshees are high maintenance as stated above. 400ex's with the 440 big bore kit arent worth the money if your going to run it wildly.....a Kawasaki Mojave would be the way to go in my book....it may only be a 250, but they got power, and will rev to the ceiling.....or the honda fourtrax 300, those things are unbreakable, and will go through a sh*tload of mud!

no one said it had to be a production quad right?Id take a tecate-4 with extended a-arms and axle with a worked kx500 motor but that wouldnt happen cuz :TrikesOwn so it would be a 87 tecate-3 with a wider axle and a worked kx500 motor
:D :beer :TrikesOwn
O P.S.: Sorry but the warrior is a POS, to heavy and just outdated and i just beat one on a 250sx im sorry but any 350cc chain driven machine is just not allowed to be beat by a 250cc shaft driven tank without being a P.O.S.
